Love is Unconditional: Amanda and Jenelle

“It has to be given and accepted without conditions.”

What is love to you?

Jenelle: Everything worth living for.

Amanda: True love is the best thing life has to offer.

How did you two meet?

A: I moved out to California into the apartment complex that she manages. After meeting her and chatting with her a few time, I fell into a head over heels crush. She had no idea at first!

J: She came into my office when she relocated to California and I was instantly attracted to her.

When did you know you she was “the one?”

A: I think I pretty much knew from the get go. It’s like everyone always says, “When you know, you know.” I guess you never really believe or understand that until it actually happens to you!

J: I knew after the first weekend we spent together. That’s why she never left after that! It’s that same “when you know you know” feeling and the butterflies in your tummy.

What do you love about each other?

J: I love how sweet and genuine she is. I love our intimacy connection and I love how dedicated she is to us.

A: I love how much she cares about people and animals. I love how protective she is over me and how safe she makes me feel. I love just hanging out with her in general.

Is this your first serious relationship? If not, what’s different about this one compared to all your previous ones?

J: No, I had a serious relationship of 11 years. Amanda and I are way more compatible. Our personalities are way more similar, we have a lot more in common, and the physical attraction and emotional connection are much stronger with Amanda. Everything is just so much better. There is no comparison—and that’s why we’re getting married!

A: This is my first serious relationship, but I knew what I wanted and wasn’t going to settle for less.

So how is wedding planning coming along?

J: Super smooth up to this point! The venue is booked and we both agreed on everything so far.

A: Our next step is to meet with a photographer for an engagement shoot.

J: And shopping for engagement rings was the best!

Have you ever faced any adversity being out where you live? And if so, how have you handled any negativity?

A: Rude people have made snide comments a few times, but we just ignore them.

J: Other than that we haven’t really had any encounters.

What do you think is fundamental to keeping a strong relationship?

A & J: Communication, communication, and communication!

Love is…? Fill in the blank with one word or two and explain why you chose that word.

J: Love is unconditional.

A: It has to be given and accepted without conditions.
